I tested and reviewed dozens of Pacific Mountain hiking boots not long ago. So I can say that this brand offers value to mid-range hikers and manufactures comfortable boots that minimize shocks, impact, and chafing without a doubt.
I wore Pacific mountain boots and gifted them with quality and durability. However, some of the boots didn’t live up to my expectations. So let’s check out the unbiased review below to get the facts right!
Pacific Mountain Hiking Boot Reviews
1. Pacific Mountain Women’s Hiking Boot Review
Pacific Mountain hiking boots would be ideally best for sensitive feet.
Therefore, I bought this boot for my wife. My wife has appreciated its flexible synthetic and suede leather uppers and the natural fitting of the boot.
So based on her hiking experience, here is the review!
This boot offers stability and an ultra-gripping outsole that word great on abrasive to uneven terrains.
With that, the natural fitting lace-up closure did a fair job for natural fitting, whereas the total 2 pounds of weight never put too much pressure on the joints while ascending and hiking on cliffs.
Also, the metal lace closures ensured a secure and snug fitting on the feet.
Unlike regular boots, its gusted tongue removes debris, whereas its mid-top support adds stability.
Overall, it contributed to easy and secure hiking, walking, backing, and being outdoorsy.
The padded collar and uppers felt softer on the skin and maintained the general secure fitting.
Therefore wearing this boot feels more like a gliding experience without any discomfort.
In short, this Pacific Mountain Women’s boot is compact and well-designed hiking footwear!
Under aggressive hiking and foot mobility, its anti-shock EVA midsole did a great job and delivered safety which further marks this boot as reasonable.
- Waterproofing upper keeps feet dry
- Affordable in price
- Not bulky or voluminous design
- Its interior absorbs shocks and impacts
- Not GTX waterproofing technology
- The toe box is flimsy
2. Pacific Mountain Women’s Moraine Boot Review
This boot lacks style, but its performance has been excellent on trails. This is what my wife gave this feedback.
However, its waterproofing performance has been incredible. Therefore, having the feet cool and dry was never an issue.
Furthermore, its leather and rubber mix with rubber outsole did a comprehensive job for the best traction. Therefore she continued hiking and climbing without slips.
Talking about comfort, its memory foam for balance support and the secure fitting through lace-up closure helped minimize strain during day-long hiking.
For protection, its rounded toe adds a roomy and spacious interior. It helped her to easily wiggle her toes without putting the stress on pressure.
Since my wife has wider feet, she found this design ideally helpful! in which the edges of the toe have a softly rounded shape and can be pretty spacious
Although this boot is excellent for durability due to material choice, its rust-resistant hardware choice is what delivered the added longevity.
This is because my wife often crosses water streams, and while in mossy wet places, the metal hardware of this boot is likely to get damaged.
With an anti-rust design, these concerns are easily minimized!
This is a low-profile boot without much ankle support, but its comfort and protection are great.
- Anti-rust metal hardware
- Molded rubber toe bumper adds more protection
- High-quality material for flexibility
- Waterproofing uppers for dry feet
- Does not come with a warmer interior
- Its ventilation needs improvements
3. Pacific Mountain Women’s Whiteout Boot Review
Only an insulated boot can be the right choice for hiking in the alpine and snowy terrain.
However, that is not the only thing that should be highlighted!
Unfortunately, Pacific Mountain Whiteout has been a below-par hiking boot, unlike the abovementioned boots.
The reason is the substandard quality check on material and the flimsy performance on trials.
Therefore, wearing this boot has been a challenge.
My wife picked this boot for a recent hiking trip due to its tall design for the best warmth and comfort.
However, its less breathability and the significantly less padding interior cause discomfort under the feet.
Its tall design of 12’’ inches of tall design delivered her wraparound feeling, however, the
Also, its high price is not justifiable with the value it provides.
Overall, the Pacific Mountain Whiteout boot lacks quality control.
Therefore, it’s fitting, cushioning, and overall wearing experience on the abrasive ground did not maintain the aggressive performance.
A tall boot should have a size zipper for quick wearing, but this boot doesn’t feature that.
Also, the loose collar fitting didn’t offer her the ideal fitting for which its warmth remains questionable in snow.
So my wife, being an active hiker, didn’t like this boot much and gave it 2 stars.
- Warmer 12’’ inches tall design with 200G Thinsulate
- Minimal breathability
- No size zipper
- Loose fitting prevent in swift hiking
- The fabric lining may cause chafing
- Does not come with a non-marking outsole
Final Verdict
Finding a budget-friendly brand is really a task. Pacific Mountain falls right in that regard. Pacific Mountain boots are suitable for hiking. But you must be picky about their specific performance on a dedicated terrain. As a general approach, this brand lacks the ideal arch support, durability for technical hiking, and GTX waterproofing. However, keeping the price range in mind, this brand can suit those running low on budget!
